How we write and correct Align's guides

Align sells a business account, and it also publishes guides on cross-border payments, stablecoins and the rules around them. This page says who writes them, where the facts come from, how they're kept current and how to report a mistake.

Who writes them

Every guide, account page and conversion page is by Pavel Skalin, Founder & CEO, Align, who approves each page before it's published. Answer pages repeat a question and answer from one of those guides, and corridor pages are built from published fee schedules and reference rates.

The pages are general information, not legal, tax or financial advice. Rules and providers' terms change, so check the sources and take advice on your own situation.

Sources and dates

  • Primary sources. Every figure and rule links to where it comes from: the central bank, the scheme rulebook, the regulator or the provider's own terms. Not to another blog.
  • Dated. Each page shows when it was last updated, and facts about other providers say when they were read, such as “as of October 2026”.
  • Rechecked. Pages with a deadline or a scheduled rule change carry a review date. A weekly check lists every page whose date has passed, and comparison pages are re-read against the providers' sites each week.
  • Align's own product. What a page says AlignPay does is checked against the product as it ships, not against plans.

Comparisons with other providers

Align is one of the providers it compares, which is a conflict of interest. To keep comparisons fair:

  • Facts about another provider come from its own published terms, fee pages and help centre, with the date they were read.
  • Each comparison says when another provider is the better fit, and what Align doesn't do.
  • No provider pays to be included, ranked or left out.

How AI is used

We use AI tools to help research and draft pages. A person checks every figure against the source it links to, and nothing is published until the author approves it.

Corrections

Spotted an error? Tell us. We correct it, update the page's date and, if a reader could have acted on the wrong fact, record it here.

  • Guides, account and conversion pages said money received into Align lands as USDC or USDT. Since 30 October 2026, euros land as EURC, a euro stablecoin. Every page that said otherwise now says so.

  • Why Align and About carried figures that didn't match the pricing, eligibility and trust pages. They now match: four account currencies, a 1 to 5 business day review, fees shown before you confirm and no monthly fee.
