What it costs to send USDT and USDC, day by day
Data from 30 October 2026 to 6 November 2026
This history is thin. It holds 8 daily readings, from 30 October 2026 to 6 November 2026. That shows the level of each fee, but it's too short to show a trend or a seasonal pattern, so don't read one into it.

Compared with published wire fees
These are the fees the sending bank publishes for one outgoing international wire in US dollars. Foreign-currency wires are priced differently: Chase lists $5 online, or $0 from $5,000, and Bank of America lists no wire fee but says exchange rate markups apply.
| Bank | Wire | Fee | Published |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chase | Business account, sent online in USD | $40 | Effective 14 June 2026 |
| Bank of America | Sent in USD through Online Banking | $45 | Read 6 November 2026 |
| Chase | Business account, sent with a banker | $50 | Effective 14 June 2026 |
Method
- Source. Once a day, around 06:30 UTC, a scheduled job saves the output of Align's public fee API. Each reading is one moment, so it can miss a spike earlier or later that day.
- What a fee is. The network fee in USD for one transfer to an address that already holds the token, using gas and energy measured on 22 October 2026 and live prices. The fee tracker gives the method for each network.
- The index. The median across all network and token pairs that day. It isn't weighted by usage, and not every token is tracked on every network.
- Updates. New readings are added to this page about once a month. The fee calculation hasn't changed since the first reading. If it does, we'll say so here.
What it leaves out
- Exchange withdrawal fees, and any fee charged by a payment provider, including Align.
- The cost of converting between bank money and stablecoins, at either end.
- For wires: intermediary bank fees, the receiving bank's fee and any exchange rate margin. Only US banks are shown, and only those whose schedules we could read.
To put a number on those, try the FX cost calculator.
Common questions
- Is this what Align charges?
- No. These are the fees blockchains charge for a transfer. Align pays the network fee on USDC and USDT sent from a balance, and charges its own fee per payment, which is quoted and shown before you confirm.
- Is a stablecoin transfer always cheaper than a wire?
- The network fee is usually far lower, but it isn't the whole cost. If you start and end in bank money, add the cost of converting in and out, and any provider or exchange fee. Compare the total for your own payment.
- Why is Tron so much higher than the other networks?
- Tron prices USDT transfers in energy, with a surcharge on heavily used contracts. These figures assume the sender burns TRX for it. A sender with staked or rented energy pays less.
- Can I cite this data?
- Yes. You can cite and quote these figures, with credit and a link to this page. The citation line above gives the wording.
