Stablecoin business account: USDT and USDC in, USD, EUR, GBP or AED out

The short answer
Align gives your company one balance in USDT and USDC. You deposit stablecoins from a wallet or exchange account your company owns, on a network Align supports, and you can also be paid by bank transfer into named USD, EUR, GBP and AED accounts in your company's name: those payments land in the same balance as USDC or USDT. From the balance you pay suppliers and staff in USD, EUR, GBP or AED, or send USDC and USDT to wallets.
Align isn't a bank, and your balance isn't a bank deposit or covered by deposit insurance. Align Payments Ltd. is registered with FINTRAC in Canada as a money services business, and its regulated services are provided through licensed financial institutions.
Other routes fit better if you need your money held as a bank deposit, if you want to keep euros or pounds as euros or pounds rather than as dollar stablecoins, if you need a provider authorized under MiCA in the EU, or if you want to hold or trade crypto assets other than USDC, USDT and EURC.

Depositing USDT and USDC
Each network has its own deposit address. Send on the network the tokens are on now, and use the address for that network:
| Network | USDT | USDC |
|---|---|---|
| Ethereum | Yes | Yes |
| Tron | Yes | No |
| Solana | Yes | Yes |
| Polygon | Yes | Yes |
| Arbitrum | Yes | Yes |
| Optimism | Yes | Yes |
| Base | No | Yes |
| Avalanche | No | Yes |
Align's docs list the same networks and say Align is adding more. Three checks before the first deposit:
- Match the network. A transfer on a network the address isn't for may not arrive. If it has already happened, see what to do if you sent USDT or USDC to the wrong network.
- Check the token contract. On Polygon, Arbitrum and Optimism, confirm with Align which USDT and USDC contracts it accepts. Circle publishes the contract address of its own USDC on each network; a token with the same name at another address isn't Circle's USDC.
- Send a small test first. Then send the rest once it has arrived.
Deposits from your own wallets are first-party payments: the sender and the receiver are the same company. A payment from someone else, such as a customer, is a third-party payment, and Align's docs say third-party payments are processed only through your virtual accounts. So customers pay you by bank transfer into your named accounts. If a customer wants to pay in stablecoins, ask Align first, before you put a wallet address on an invoice. Accepting USDT and USDC from business customers covers the invoice and records side.
For large transactions and clients with a higher risk profile, Align may ask for source of funds documents, such as invoices, contracts or statements that show where the money came from. For help choosing between networks, see which network to use for USDT and USDC payments, and for current network fees, the stablecoin fee comparison.
How money lands in your balance
Bank payments into your named accounts are converted and credited to your balance as USDC or USDT, so you hold one balance instead of a bank account per currency. The named account routes payments to your balance; it doesn't hold them as a bank deposit.
If you receive USDT and would rather hold USDC, or the reverse, you can swap between them. Because USDT and USDC are both dollar stablecoins, a euro, pound or dirham payment in or out involves a conversion. USDT vs USDC for business compares the two tokens.
Paying out in USD, EUR, GBP or AED
A fiat payout is converted from your stablecoin balance as part of the payment and sent on local rails:
| Currency | Rails | More detail |
|---|---|---|
| USD | ACH, Fedwire and SWIFT | US business account for non-residents |
| EUR | SEPA and SEPA Instant | EUR IBAN for companies outside the EU |
| GBP | Faster Payments | UK business account for non-residents |
| AED | IPP and UAEFTS | For companies outside the UAE |
Payments to third parties, such as suppliers, contractors and staff, go out from your named account, so recipients see your company as the payer, and Align may ask for the invoice behind a payment. USD ACH and wire access isn't switched on automatically: you request it, and Align's US banking partner runs a second review, which can decline the request or set limits. For the conversion itself, see USDT to USD, USDC to USD, USDT to EUR and USDT to GBP.
You can also send USDC or USDT to a wallet. AlignPay sponsors gas: when you send USDC or USDT from your AlignPay balance, Align pays the network fee for you, so you never need to hold or top up a network token. A deposit from an outside wallet is still paid for by that wallet.
Registration with FINTRAC
Align Payments Ltd. is registered as a money services business with FINTRAC, the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada. You can check the entry in FINTRAC's public Money Services Business Registry. On 23 October 2026, the registry listed:
| Field | Registry entry |
|---|---|
| Legal name | ALIGN PAYMENTS LTD |
| Registration number | N300000203 |
| Status | Registered |
| Services offered | Foreign Exchange, Money Transferring, Virtual Currency, PSP |
| Website | alignlabs.dev |
FINTRAC says registration doesn't mean it endorses or licenses a business: it shows only that the business has met the legal requirements to register. It also says it updates the registry monthly and that you should check the name, number and status yourself. Align isn't a bank, and it isn't authorized under MiCA. This page isn't an offer of crypto-asset services in the EU.
Who can open one
Align doesn't onboard companies based in the UAE; AED accounts are for companies outside it. It doesn't onboard customers, counterparties or beneficial owners located in, incorporated in or otherwise associated with the countries on its prohibited list, including Russia, Belarus, Iran, Syria, Cuba, North Korea, Venezuela and Ukraine, and it doesn't support transactions to or from them.
Some activities are prohibited too, including gambling and any business that must be licensed but doesn't hold a valid licence where it operates. If your company is itself a regulated financial institution, such as a bank, e-money institution, payment institution or money services business, Align's docs restrict it to first-party payments: it can move its own money for its own purposes, but not collect, hold or forward funds for its customers. Financial institutions also submit extra documents, such as an AML and sanctions policy and a regulatory licence.
Meeting these rules doesn't guarantee approval: every application goes through Align's compliance review.
How to open one
- Create an account online. It takes a few minutes.
- Upload your company documents. This takes 5 to 10 minutes if you have them ready. The KYB documents guide lists what to prepare, including ID and proof of address for everyone who holds 25% or more of ownership, voting rights or control.
- Wait for the compliance review. Align's compliance team reviews your documents in 1 to 5 business days. Your application shows Pending KYC Completion until documents are submitted, Pending while they're under review, Resubmission Required if Align needs more information or a replacement document, and Approved when the account is active.
- Request ACH and wire access if you need it. Align's US banking partner then runs its own review, which can decline or set limits.
Read the prohibited and restricted use policy before you apply.

Common questions
- Is a stablecoin business account a bank account?
- No. Align isn't a bank, and your balance is held as USDC or USDT, not as a bank deposit. Align Payments Ltd. is registered with FINTRAC in Canada as a money services business, and its regulated services are provided through licensed financial institutions.
- Which networks can I deposit USDT and USDC on?
- USDT on Ethereum, Tron, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum or Optimism, and USDC on Ethereum, Solana, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism or Avalanche. Align doesn't accept USDC on Tron or USDT on Base or Avalanche. Use the deposit address for the network the tokens are on, and send a small test first.
- Can my customers pay me in USDT or USDC?
- Customers can pay by bank transfer into your named USD, EUR, GBP or AED accounts, and the money lands in your balance as USDC or USDT. If you want customers to pay you in stablecoins directly, ask Align first, before you put a wallet address on an invoice.
- How much does it cost?
- Align quotes pricing on request, based on the currencies and volumes you expect. When you send USDC or USDT from your AlignPay balance, Align pays the network fee; a deposit from an outside wallet is still paid for by that wallet.
